If you like to get outdoors and enjoy a stroll, seeing new scenery and chatting with like-minded people, then join one of our walking groups.
Each Wednesday we meet at Bridge Darebin: Preston and jump on our minibus to a different destination. Once there, we take a walk for an hour checking out the local area. Destinations vary from bush walks to parks across a range of suburbs. After the walk, a cup of tea, and back on the bus to Bridge Darebin.
Our group is small, welcoming and friendly. Our group leader Robert takes great care of everyone and also drives the bus. A basic fitness level is required; walks are generally on flat areas.
ACFE and fee-for-service fees are paid per course, in full, prior to course commencement. In situations of financial hardship, students can apply to email@example.com. Subsidised course fees are available for students who are ACFE-eligible. To be eligible for ACFE funding you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident. Concession price is available for pension and healthcare-card holders for government-funded programs (ACFE). A Victorian Seniors Card is also accepted for non-funded programs. If enrolling online, your concession/pension/seniors card must be presented at our office prior to commencement.
There are no refunds for missed classes. If you wish to withdraw from a course, you must notify us at least five working days before the course begins in order to obtain a refund. Notification of withdrawal must be made in writing and addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org. A refund will be made less a $50 administration charge.
Course commencement is subject to sufficient enrolments – minimum and maximum class sizes apply to all courses. In the event of a course cancellation all fees will be refunded in full by direct payment to your nominated bank account. Our fees policy can be provided on request.
On-site child care is available to support parents/grandparents studying at Bridge Darebin. We are registered for the Child Care Subsidy; up to 85% of childcare fees (including 3-year-old kinder) may be claimed by eligible families. We are closed on public holidays. Some courses may operate during school holidays; your tutor will advise if this is the case.
Bridge Darebin will advise students prior to course commencement if there are course material fees to be paid. This is a separate payment, in addition to the course fee.
